Frequently asked questions
Does splitting upload my document anywhere?
No. The PDF is read and cut entirely inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted, stored or logged — the same pages stay on your device from start to finish.
How do I write the page ranges?
Use comma-separated ranges with 1-based page numbers: "2" extracts page 2, "1-4" extracts pages 1 to 4, and "1,3-5,8" produces three files. Ranges beyond the last page are clamped, and an impossible range like 5-2 is reported as an error.
Can the same page appear in several output files?
Yes. Ranges may overlap, so "1-3, 3-5" is valid and page 3 appears in both extracts. Each range always becomes exactly one file.
Will the split pages lose quality?
No. Page content is carried over from the source document without re-encoding, and there is no watermarking either, so the extracted PDFs are indistinguishable from the original pages.
